About the role

• Provide guest services for restaurant guests.
• Receive cash or credit card payments, compute bills using a P.O.S. system or adding machine, make change, and issue receipts.
• Know the value of menu items; may give cash refunds or credit memorandums as directed by a Supervisor/Manager.
• Greet and seat patrons.
• Coordinate and control the flow of the restaurant; assign stations to servers and bus persons.
• Supervise the restaurant during the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager.
• Interact between service staff and patrons to resolve difficult situations.
• Ensure service quality and standards are followed.
• Answer telephone in a professional manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Able to operate a point of sale (POS) system and/or adding machine, make change, and perform basic math.
• Adequate mathematical skills to count money and provide change.
• Able to work varied shifts and hours.
• Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.

Pay

Starting at $12.00 per hour, based on experience.
