Responsibilities

• Provide guest services for guests of the restaurant.
• Receive cash or credit card from customers in payment for goods or services.
• Compute bill on P.O.S. System or adding machine, make change, and issue receipt.
• May be required to know value of menu items.
• May give cash refunds or credit memorandums as directed by Supervisor/Manager.
• Greet and seat patrons.
• Cook up the flow of the Restaurant.
• Assign stations to servers and bus persons.
• Supervise the restaurant during the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager.
• Interact between Service Staff and Patrons when difficult situations arise.
• Ensure that Service Quality and Standards are followed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Able to operate a point of sale (POS) System and/or adding machine and make change.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Adequate mathematical skills and the ability to understand and utilize a POS system/count money and provide change.
• Able to work varied shifts and hours.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
