About the role

Upstream Hospitality Group is an ever-growing hospitality group that offers a wide variety of dining experiences united by creativity, progression, and originality. We are looking for a customer-focused Host to welcome guests, seat them in the restaurant, and help them enjoy an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with a friendly, upbeat attitude—the TapFam way.
• Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas, ensuring smooth and fair table rotation for the service team.
• Provide menus and inform guests of any current specials or promotions.
• Communicate server assignments so guests know who will be taking care of them.
• Manage the flow of guests in both dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times when necessary.
• Answer the phone and direct calls appropriately.
• Handle all to-go orders and execute delivery orders promptly and accurately.
• Keep the host stand and entrance area neat, organized, and welcoming at all times.
• Be a team player—jump in to assist wherever needed to help the restaurant run smoothly.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host or server in a busy restaurant environment is a plus, but not required.
• A friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for creating great guest experiences.
• Strong communication skills—comfortable greeting guests, answering questions, and providing clear information to both guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Team player mindset—quick to lend a hand and keep things running smoothly.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs when needed.
