Job Summary

Oversee dining room operations by providing solution‑oriented, positive, exemplary customer service. The role includes managing operations within the dining room and at the hostess podium. The mission is to deliver a 5‑star fine dining experience through teamwork, anticipating guest and coworker needs, communicating well, pitching in as needed, and sharing a positive experience. Employees are expected to engage with guests, empower them to celebrate life, and demonstrate the values of attitude, integrity, and teamwork daily.

Primary Job Duties

• Provide leadership and oversight of duties performed by dining room servers and host/hostess, ensuring service aligns with Talk of the Town standards.
• Support dining management in training new team members on fine‑dining guidelines, concierge/reservation etiquette, and service protocols.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper opening/closing of the host stand.
• Verify team members are properly attired and uniformed.
• Assign servers to reservation floor plans.
• Attend pre‑meal meetings and assist during dinner service as needed.
• Make reservations by phone and in person for dining and to‑go orders.
• Answer phones, check messages, and return calls promptly.
• Assure set‑up of special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Two years of fine dining experience preferred.

• Knowledge of dining operations.
• Ability to provide high customer service levels in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.
• Excellent telephone skills and professional manner.
• Math and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good computer skills.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Tasks involve light physical effort in a sedentary to light‑work setting, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing 5–50 pounds. Employees may stand for extended periods (approximately 90 % of the shift) or sit (about 10 %). The role includes leading guests to tables and assisting with seating.
