Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and efficiently at the door
• Seat guests at sparkling clean tables in a speedy manner
• Introduce guests to our company's philosophy and answer their questions about the menu
• Clean, organize, and stock supplies at the host station, including menus, crayons, and kid's cars
• Quote wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available
• Occasionally pre-bus tables to allow for quick turn-around time
• Engage with guests during and after their dining experience
• Maintain a clean lobby to Silver Diner standards
• Answer the phone within 3 rings using SD standard greeting
• Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by managers

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
• Exceptional aptitude for guest service
• Excellent communication skills
• Contagious friendliness, outgoing, and energetic personality
• Organized and able to multi-task
• Able to think and act quickly while maintaining composure
• Able to meet all schedule requirements, including weekends and holidays
