Responsibilities
- Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Moving reservations around to seat servers’ sections evenly trying to follow the rotation when possible
- Guiding guests to their table and letting them know who their server will be
- Keeping Resy up to date with the course each table is on so you can properly plot future reservations
- Using the waitlist effectively
- Checking on the bathrooms during the shift to make sure they are clean and stocked properly
- Communication with service staff and managers about any issues with tables or guests
- Answering the phone for reservations, to go orders, guest questions
- Being at the host stand to thank guests for coming and dining and wishing them a good night
- Understanding Resy

- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to bring a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere to the restaurant and guests
