About the role
The Host maintains an efficient and courteous restaurant operation by greeting arriving customers, seating, establishing rapport, and assisting with restaurant service. Receives and accurately processes payment for restaurant charges.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner.
- Manage reservations to effectively seat the entire dining room.
- Maintain complete and accurate guest records and reservation notes through OpenTable.
- Cash handling, including correctly and precisely processing each guest check.
- Properly ring guest orders through the POS system as needed.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Work with a spirit of teamwork. Communicate needs and ideas to management.
- Knowledgeable in the menu and times of operation.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Understand mechanics of service and arrange tables for large parties.
- Ensure there are plenty of menus for the service period.
- Warmly greet, acknowledge, and seat guests.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Restaurant experience preferred.

Pay
$20 per hour.
