Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a genuine manner, asks if it is a customer's first visit, and conducts restaurant tours.
• Offers customers their choice of table, presents menus, and introduces appetizers and beverages.
• Notifies the manager of all first-time customers.
• Sets up tables for large parties and provides any needed high chairs, boosters, or slings.
• Maintains an accurate waitlist and provides quote times to customers.
• Maintains a clean and welcoming environment including a clean floor, windows, host stand, and menus.
• Notifies manager in the event of any issues or displeased customers.
• Performs opening and closing duties such as cleaning tasks in the host stand and surrounding area.
• Aids in delivering food and beverages to customers.
• Aids in cleaning and sanitizing tables.
• Sweeps dining room periodically.
• Maintains a safe working environment and reports any safety issues to management immediately.
• Polishes silverware and bowls.
• Fulfills all sanitation and safety policies.
• Fulfills all company cash handling policies and procedures.
• Maintains valid state and local food handlers and alcohol certifications as applicable.
• Demonstrates teamwork at every opportunity.
• Advise Restaurant Manager/General Manager/Regional Director of any non-routine situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Must have excellent verbal and customer service skills.
• Must be customer-centric, demonstrating a desire to be of service.
• Must be able to multi-task while maintaining required standards of operations.
• Must be able to address customer concerns in a manner that builds customer relations.
• Must be respectful of all customers, managers, team members, and vendors.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 lb.
• Must be capable of constant walking, standing, stooping, and reaching in all directions.
• Must have manual dexterity.
• Must be available to work a variety of opens, swings, and closes including weekends and holidays.

Verbal And Reasoning Requirements

• Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, co-workers, and managers.
• Must be able to engage in a two-way conversation with the customer on the floor.
• Must have the ability to read and/or follow verbal instructions and implement the same.
• Must be capable of applying common sense and understanding to carry out oral and/or written instructions.
• Must understand and adhere to service standards.
