Join our team and play a key role in ensuring a quality guest experience by greeting and seating guests in the Dining Room with promptness and courtesy, while providing essential support to the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain assigned work schedule and communicate any scheduling needs to management in advance.
- Complete required and suggested training to maximize knowledge and performance.
- Input all reservation information thoroughly, including first and last name, telephone number, and tagging reservations as member, hotel guest, or public guest.
- Review upcoming reservations for special notes, needs, or large parties requiring table combinations.
- Provide eye contact at 10 feet and greet guests warmly and promptly within 5 feet of their arrival.
- Ascertain dining needs by asking questions and listening attentively to guests.
- Inquire about special occasions, dietary restrictions, and allergies.
- Acknowledge and note any special occasions for guests.
- Seat guests according to standards and manage open table information accurately.
- Print and deliver reservation slips to assigned servers.
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Track open dining sections for empty and cleaned tables.
- Quote appropriate wait times, add guests to the waitlist, and seat them promptly.
- Answer the telephone with a proper greeting, capturing all information accurately, including food orders when necessary.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and orderly host area, including disinfecting menus after use.
- Complete opening and closing side work as required.
- Be knowledgeable about the entire Resort and Spa offerings, including services and hours of operation.
- Assist with side work such as cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware.
- Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
- Establish consistent and complete cross-departmental communication channels.
- Perform additional duties including deep cleaning, organizing, and assisting with other positions as needed.
- Maintain and clean dining room equipment.
- Alert management of any reservation issues.
- Understand and articulate the functions and locations of various resort departments and services.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and shifts as required by business needs.
- Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards.
- Provide extraordinary service that is "Enriching by Nature."

Requirements
- Prior restaurant or hotel experience preferred.
- Basic food handler certification and alcohol service certification (may be provided upon acceptance of the position).

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional bending, crouching, kneeling, balancing, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, and near/far vision.
- Continuous use of a computer and keyboard.
Work Environment
- Primarily indoor setting with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation.
- May occasionally work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather.
- Regular interaction with others; working closely with team members and guests.
- Exposure to noise, cleaning chemicals, and uneven surfaces.
