Host

About the role

We're looking for a friendly, experienced Host or Hostess to be an integral part of providing the Fat Ox experience. You will greet guests at the door, make everyone feel welcome, and lead the host team during your shifts.

Responsibilities

• Identify regulars and VIPs, know their preferences, and accommodate their needs
• Take and manage reservations and walk-in guests using OpenTable GuestCenter (experience with this software is a plus)
• Serve as the "go-to" person for guest reservations and seating questions per shift
• Show leadership within the host team
• Seat guests with their preferences and the flow of the restaurant in mind
• Help manage the dining room by updating where guests are in their dining experience
• Thank guests when they leave and invite them back

Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a host or hostess
• Highly motivated, people-oriented personality
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Desire to grow in a leadership role
