About the role

Conejo, a new Mexican restaurant in Richmond, VA, is hiring friendly part-time and full-time hosts to join our Front of House team!

We are looking for energetic, people-loving folks who embody Heads Up Hospitality and teamwork. One of the most important positions in the restaurant, hosts help create a friendly, positive experience from the moment guests enter the restaurant to the time they leave.

Responsibilities

• Help guests navigate the menu and answer questions about dishes
• Ensure tables are set up and ready for guests
• Handle guest reservations and seating arrangements
• Assist with greeting and thanking guests upon arrival and departure
• Manage the flow of traffic and maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate reporting
• Support servers and bartenders by providing assistance and ensuring a smooth dining experience

Requirements

• Must be 17 years old to apply
• Proficient in English

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality
• Positive attitude and ability to remain upbeat during busy shifts
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Skills

• Customer service orientation
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills (e.g., using a POS system)

Pay

Starting wages, including tips, range from $14 to $16 per hour.
