You will welcome and seat guests, ensuring they enjoy an exceptional overall experience from entry to exit. As a natural people person, you’ll quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you’ll rely on excellent organization and communication skills to foster positive interactions for both team members and guests.

Responsibilities

Host Role

• Greet incoming guests with exceptional hospitality and seat them efficiently.
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times to incoming guests as appropriate.
• Oversee waiting areas and communicate consistently with waiting guests to support a positive experience prior to seating.
• Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation to maintain a seamless and properly paced flow of service.
• Engage guests and ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
• Assist with restaurant set-up and keep the host stand (and other high-traffic restaurant areas) clean, organized, and presentable for guests.

Takeout Role

• Staff the high-volume take-out section as scheduled or when needed.
• Answer phones, recording orders accurately while providing gracious service to takeout guests.
• Operate the cash register efficiently to accept payments for takeout orders.

• Friendly and customer-focused personality.
• Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as understand requests for assistance.
• Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, and other team members.
• Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
• Must be able to carry trays, service items, or supplies (10-30 lbs.).
