Host

About the role

A Host is accountable for directing the traffic flow of guests in the restaurant, all payment transactions, and the security of the cash drawer. Position reports to the General Manager and requires minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests; use the seating chart and wait list.
• Provide knowledge of Rib Crib products, preparation methods, portion sizes, and prices to customers in person or over the phone.
• Answer phone calls, determine the nature of the call, and direct calls to appropriate persons; take call-in orders and answer catering questions when necessary.
• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the cashier stand and restroom maintenance.
• Perform stocking services for the to-go station and package to-go orders.
• Record and analyze cashflow, including opening, running, and closing duties.
• Demonstrate a willingness to assume any responsibility or perform any task (“shift to assist”) regardless of nature to support teamwork.
