Border Cafe in Saugus is looking for a qualified Host to join our growing team in a fast-paced, fully operational, full-service restaurant. We are a staple of the restaurant scene, recognized for multiple awards for quality in food and service, and continue to grow daily.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Greet customers and seat guests with menus
• Answer phone calls
• Manage waitlists
• Monitor and maintain restroom cleanliness
• Know sections and table numbers
• Seat guests in rotation
• Communicate with all hosts and managers
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules, regulations, and customer service guidelines

Requirements

• Experience as a restaurant host (preferred)
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team player mentality
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Active listening abilities
• Excellent physical condition
• Customer-centric approach
• High school diploma; food safety training is a plus
• Ability to commute to Saugus, MA (Route 1 North) or plan to relocate before starting work

Pay

$20 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule

• 4-8 hour shifts
• Holidays
• Weekend availability is required
