Host an International High School Exchange Student (Hot Spring, AR)

About the role

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for an international student
• Attend the student’s local high school classes
• Help the student adjust to life in a new country and culture
• Ensure the student has access to medical care if needed
• Manage the student’s personal expenses
• Participate in cultural activities and events

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Willing to commit to hosting for a school year or semester
• Have a stable home and address
• Be able to communicate effectively in English
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Have health insurance covering international travel

Qualifications

• Willingness to embrace diversity and open-mindedness
• Ability to adapt to new situations and cultures
