Host an International High School Exchange Student (Chambers County, TX)

Description

SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host an international exchange student! Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for the exchange student.
• Enroll the exchange student in their local high school.
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance.
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country and culture.
• Share your home and traditions with the exchange student.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a stable home environment.
• Be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Be willing to provide meals and accommodations for the exchange student.
• Have a good understanding of cultural differences and be open-minded.

Qualifications

• Experience living or traveling abroad is a plus.
• Willingness to share your home and traditions with the exchange student.
• Ability to provide a positive and supportive environment for the exchange student.
