Hospitality Senior Business Development Specialist
Responsibilities
Leads all aspects of the project life-cycle, from specification to procurement, marketing and operational resources to assist in solution development or implementation.
Accesses target customers and project leads; conducts 16 face to face sales calls per week.
Effectively presents Visual Comfort’s value proposition to influence customers.
Networks with developers, design and procurement firms.
Adept at managing existing customers to ensure retention and continued sales growth.
Uses proprietary CRM to manage a priority-based schedule with existing and target customers.
Develops a strong knowledge of Visual Comfort’s product offering, service value propositions, and operating systems.
Analyzes and interprets data to drive decision making.
Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and identify and resolve problems.
Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values.
Requirements
Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule while being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in FF&E product sales in the Hospitality industry
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field required
- Proven track record of cultivating relationships with key decision makers in the specification, approval, and purchasing process
- Passion for design and construction markets
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Independent, proactive, and self-motivated person who will offer exceptional service to our customers
- Proficient computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite of software, including word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and Outlook
- Experience with a CRM system preferred
- Able to understand and adapt to complex distribution channels
- Able to quickly develop rapport and credibility
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings
