Hospitality (Safety) Specialist

About the role

The Hospitality Specialist focuses on promoting health and safety within Centerstone, a leading nonprofit behavioral health system. This role involves supporting both clients and staff, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and performing various safety-related functions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and contribute to staff development activities.
• Support management needs such as data collection, program evaluation, and grant applications.
• Regularly participate in reflective practice and awareness regarding professional self-regulation.
• Uphold the organization's commitment to belonging by demonstrating cultural awareness, respect, and sensitivity.
• Facilitate initial and ongoing interactions to ensure therapeutic transformation.
• Greet clients and visitors promptly, pleasantly, and courteously.
• Provide assistance, direction, and information to clients and visitors.
• Manage communication and resolve client issues/complaints.
• Assist in resolving client issues/complaints.
• Model positive behavior and encourage an environment that promotes hope, motivation, and resilience.
• Initiate proactive responses to assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Respond and intervene in unsafe environments.
• Implement crisis prevention and management techniques.
• Contribute to ensuring optimal customer service and care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Crisis intervention experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in various formats.
• Basic math skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Physical requirements: standing 20%, sitting 80%, squatting occasional, kneeling occasional, bending occasional, driving occasional, lifting occasional.
