About the role

At the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles Airport hotel in Herndon, VA, you will work in an all-suite hotel less than 3 miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and 25 miles west of Washington, D.C. The hotel is close to popular tourist sites and global businesses.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests in the lounge within 2 minutes of arrival.
• Act as a liaison between guests and hotel departments by making reservations and following up on special requests.
• Maintain an information file on hotel and local services and attractions; recommend them to guests while suggestively selling hotel amenities and services.
• Clean the lounge throughout the shift by picking up dirty dishes and glasses and maintaining the kitchenette, including cleaning floors, furniture, and surfaces.

• Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and uphold staff and guest confidentiality.
• Focus and attention to tasks, completing work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (6-8 hours a day).
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of fine motor skills for keyboarding, typing, using a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials, including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use a phone and/or headset.

Pay

$14 - $14 an hour. The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, and certifications or professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates' total compensation package, which also includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and bonus plans.
