About the role

The Food & Nutrition Food Service Worker I is a competent support services employee responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role involves performing specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist, meeting performance goals, and adhering to patient safety, infection control, department security, and HIPAA guidelines. The position also ensures patient, customer, and physician satisfaction while fostering a culture aligned with HCA’s vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the Food & Nutrition Department.
  • Distribute food and supplies according to departmental procedures.
  • Perform competencies as outlined in the Competency Checklist.
  • Meet mutually agreed-upon performance goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to patient safety, infection control, security, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards.
  • Utilize processes to achieve patient, customer, and physician satisfaction.
  • Support and uphold the HCA vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire preferred.
