HOSPITALITY AND EVENTS TEAM MEMBER

About the role

The Hospitality and Events Team provides a wide range of opportunities—from the set-up, promotion, and delivery of an event, to welcoming customers within food and beverage or stewarding areas, to taking on projects that increase student engagement and enhance student experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience in everything you do.
• Maintain good knowledge of DUSA’s services and products.
• Welcome customers at entry, serve customers, assist customers, and provide friendly customer service and a safe environment within all areas of DUSA.
• Work with other organisations as agency staff.
• Support functions and events, from venue set-up to the running of the event.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships while promoting the DUSA culture and values.
• Assist staff from other departments if required and perform any other duties reasonably expected by the management team.
• Communicate with line managers if unsure how to carry out any tasks.
• Prepare and serve food & drinks in line with House Rules, ensuring licensing compliance is adhered to.
• Provide bar, glass collection, cleaning support, and general housekeeping and hygiene tasks as required.
• Take on supporting administrative tasks.
• Actively promote student engagement by creating content around events and campaigns.
