Hospitality Aide - PRN

About the Role

The main purpose of this position is to support the Nursing Department and staff by performing a variety of essential support functions.

Responsibilities

• Report all accidents/incidents, changes in resident's condition, and grievances to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Answer phones, assist with errands, and perform secretarial tasks at the nursing station.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of resident rooms, common areas, and equipment.
• Assist residents with daily activities, such as meals, transportation, and personal care.
• Ensure resident safety by checking call bells, making rounds, and reporting any issues.
• Follow established policies and procedures for handling blood/body fluids, hazardous materials, and resident care.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Participate in training programs, including OSHA and CDC in-service training.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties and report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8th-grade education.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products.

Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mathematical skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability to various situations.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Prolonged use of a desktop or laptop computer.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, read, and hear.
• Frequent use of office equipment, including copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator.

Work Environment

• Low to moderate noise level.
