Hospitalist Physician

About the Role

Join our close-knit team of 4 physicians and 3 APPs at Ascension Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to bring better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve in Manhattan, KS.

Responsibilities

• Round on patients with admissions.
• Support the hospitalist team’s efforts in utilization management, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives such as length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.
• Open ICU with teleintensivists; run codes and rapid response (no procedures).

Requirements

• ABIM or ABFM certified.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with APPs.
• Authorized to work in the United States (this position does not sponsor J-1 and H-1 visa waivers).

Schedule

7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with flexibility for time off.
