Hospitalist Physician

Role: Inpatient Obstetrics Hospitalist, providing 24-hour in-house coverage for labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and maternal transports. Responsibilities: Manage labor and delivery cases including vaginal, cesarean, twin, and vaginal birth after cesarean deliveries; handle high-risk obstetrics and emergency patients; collaborate with healthcare teams and document care using Epic EMR. Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Iowa medical license or eligibility through Interstate Medical Licensure Compact or conditional license. Skills: Strong clinical skills in obstetrics, emergency management, and high-risk pregnancies; excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Key Duties: Provide comprehensive obstetric care during 24-hour shifts, respond to obstetric emergencies, support maternal transports, and ensure patient safety and quality care.
