Hospitalist Nocturnist Physician
About the role
Medium-sized, full-service community hospital situated in a southern suburban area of Akron, Ohio. The modern facility is well-equipped with recent renovations, including a newly renovated ED. Very responsive back-up maintains good rapport with the Emergency Department and represents all specialties; only major trauma and severe pediatric cases are transferred. Excellent support when needed is just minutes away at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Daily encounters: 90
- Team: four–five physicians and one APP daily, seven days on/seven days off
- Swing shift APP: seven days on/seven days off
- One nocturnist per day
Schedule
- Day APP & MD: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Swing APP: 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Nocturnist: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The major metropolitan attractions of Cleveland—including a highly evolved cultural community, Guardians baseball, Browns football, Cavaliers basketball, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the dining/nightlife of The Flats—are about 40 minutes away.
