Hospitalist - Memorial - Per Diem

About the role

MaineHealth Memorial Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Internal or Family Medicine Physician to join their team as a Per Diem hospitalist in a community hospital setting in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Join a supportive, collaborative team with strong patient/provider relationships.
• Work in a community hospital setting with comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, including fully integrated Epic EMR.
• Admit and care for patients with a range of medical diagnoses, including orthopedic and surgical patients in consultation with other specialties.
• Provide preoperative and ED consultative services.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis as needed.
• Work alongside an APP provider and another Hospitalist during daytime shifts.
• Assume physician nighttime coverage and nocturnist shifts as needed.
• Participate in critical care, including ventilator management with full-time onsite Respiratory Therapy support.

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum three years’ clinical practice in Hospital Medicine preferred.
