Hospitalist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

This inpatient hospitalist position involves providing adult inpatient care in a hospital with a closed ICU model, supported by an on-staff intensivist. The clinician will cover 12-hour day and night shifts, managing a patient load of 18-22 adults per shift. No procedures are required, and documentation is done via EPIC EMR. The role is on-site, preferably for two consecutive weeks per month, with no call duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient medical care to adult patients in a hospital setting.
• Manage a caseload of 18-22 patients per shift.
• Work 12-hour day and night shifts, including rotating call coverage.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation.
• Collaborate with an on-staff intensivist in a supported ICU environment.
• Maintain board certification and prescriptive authority as required.

Requirements

• Board certification in ABIM or Family Medicine.
• Prescriptive authority.
• Experience in inpatient hospital medicine.
• Willingness to work on-site and adhere to shift schedules.

Schedule

• 12-hour day and night shifts.
• On-site work, preferably for two consecutive weeks per month.
• No call duties.
