Hospitalist

Role and Facility Information

Peace Arch Hospital (PAH) is seeking a physician to join their well-established Hospitalist program in a locum capacity. Applicants should have a strong interest in developing an acute care hospital practice and collaborating with the inter-professional team, including medical staff, Nurse Practitioners, and Allied Health staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Admission and management of acute medical patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP)
• Consulting and supportive medical service in some surgical and psychiatric patients

This job requires superior clinical and communication skills, exceptional bedside manner, and patient management abilities. Hospitalists must be proficient with hospital and community resources and work collaboratively with specialists and community-based physicians to optimize patient care and discharge planning processes.

Shifts and Scheduling

• Day Shift: 7am – 5pm (Team 1-8)
• Evening Shift: 5pm – Midnight
• Night Shift: Midnight – 7am
• Admission Line: 12pm – 5pm
• Virtual Shift: 5pm – 9pm (can be managed from home)

Compensation

Compensation details are provided under a master agreement.
