Hospitalist

Responsibilities

• Providing complex inpatient gastroenterology and hepatology consultative care in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary environment.
• Participating in medical education by teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Contributing to scholarly activities with protected academic time and institutional support.
• Helping build and define a growing academic GI hospitalist program with flexible scheduling options, including block-based inpatient practice.
• Supporting the expansion of the division, focusing on patient access, faculty success, and clinical innovation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
• Interest in academic medicine, inpatient GI care, and medical education.
