About the role
Seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a physician‑owned acute care group at a 350‑bed community hospital in New Bern, NC. The hospital serves a three‑county primary area and a five‑county regional area, offers a full range of specialties (internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, spine, interventional radiology/cardiology, thoracic/cardiovascular surgery, inpatient psychiatry, GI, nephrology, podiatry, tele‑neurology, tele‑ID, pulmonology, cardiology, electrophysiology, inpatient rehab, oncology, palliative care) and features modern imaging (helical and conventional CT, 3‑T MRI, PET‑CT), rapid lab/x‑ray turnaround (
Responsibilities
- Practice compassionate, attentive, and high‑quality patient care.
- Work side‑by‑side with physicians as clinical colleagues.
- Receive support through local, regional, and national APP leadership structures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hospitalist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Schedule
7‑on / 7‑off schedule; daytime staffing includes 8 physicians and 3 APPs, night staffing includes 2 physicians and 1 APP, with dedicated nocturnist coverage.
