Essential Functions

• Makes decisions regarding treatment changes based on monitoring and evaluating medical conditions of patients under the supervision of a physician and in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Reviews records, takes comprehensive medical histories, and performs physical examinations to determine and assess the health status of patients.
• Orders and administers appropriate medications, performs screenings, and diagnostic tests as needed.
• Completes required documentation accurately and promptly, maintaining complete and accurate charts, case files, and records.
• Participates in the educational training of healthcare students as appropriate.
• May be assigned to perform lead work, clinical coordination, health station management, or special projects involving protocol development, management planning, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
• Utilizes effective communication to elicit information, negotiate problem resolution, and garner support for various programs or policies.
• Follows established departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Education

Master's Degree Required

Work Experience

1-3 years related clinical experience preferred.

Licenses

• NP-Nurse Practitioner - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
• PA-Physician Assistant - State Medical Board Required
• BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
• DEAREG-DEA Registration - DEA - Drug Enforcement Agency Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of medical principals and procedures.
• Knowledge of community resources for appropriate procedures.
• Knowledge of appropriate administration and prescription of medications.
• Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in selecting proper treatment.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
• Computer skills required.
• Computer skills preferred.

$130,700.00 - $144,900.00 / yr
