Essential Functions
- Makes decisions regarding treatment changes based on monitoring and evaluating medical conditions of patients under the supervision of a physician and in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Reviews records, takes comprehensive medical histories, and performs physical examinations to determine and assess the health status of patients.
- Orders and administers appropriate medications, performs screenings, and diagnostic tests as needed.
- Completes required documentation accurately and promptly, maintaining complete and accurate charts, case files, and records.
- Participates in the educational training of healthcare students as appropriate.
- May be assigned to perform lead work, clinical coordination, health station management, or special projects involving protocol development, management planning, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
- Utilizes effective communication to elicit information, negotiate problem resolution, and garner support for various programs or policies.
- Follows established departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Education
Master's Degree Required
Work Experience
1-3 years related clinical experience preferred.
Licenses
- NP-Nurse Practitioner - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
- PA-Physician Assistant - State Medical Board Required
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
- DEAREG-DEA Registration - DEA - Drug Enforcement Agency Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical principals and procedures.
- Knowledge of community resources for appropriate procedures.
- Knowledge of appropriate administration and prescription of medications.
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in selecting proper treatment.
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
- Computer skills required.
- Computer skills preferred.

Salary
$130,700.00 - $144,900.00 / yr
