Hospital Technician - Intermountain Part Time

Responsibilities

• Work with clinical staff at Intermountain locations to ensure proper healthcare waste segregation, timely container exchanges, and container fill accuracy.
• Inspect and service all Daniels products within the assigned hospital or medical center, including entering procedural areas and working around sensitive patients and equipment.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of container stock at both location and department levels.
• Communicate clearly and manage relationships with hospital staff and Daniels staff.
• Escalate customer issues to a manager using a company‑provided smartphone to ensure timely response and resolution.
• Maintain professional, positive working relationships with customers and other hospital staff independently, without direct supervision.
• Keep the staging area neat and orderly before entering and after leaving the facility.
• Stand and walk for a significant portion of the day.
• Lift containers weighing up to 50 lb and push/pull wheeled transporters or palletized product up to approximately 300 lb.

Requirements

• Current standard hospital vaccinations.
• Willingness to complete a 5‑panel urine drug screening.
• Willingness to undergo a 7‑year background check.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or labor‑intensive role involving repetitive lifting of 50‑75 lb containers.
• Basic math skills and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Proven longevity with employers and a can‑do attitude.
• Experience in EVS, housekeeping, or sterilization technician roles is a plus.
