Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to enforce location rules and post orders, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Support a professional atmosphere by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and following Allied Universal protocols for incident response, reporting, and escalation.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Compliance with hospital vaccination requirements is required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, if required by the post.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Qualifications

  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian)
  • Verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Full time schedule: Saturday-Wednesday - 0700-1500 Monday-Friday - 1500-2300 Saturday-Tuesday & Thursday - 1500-2300 Monday-Friday - 2300-0700 Saturday-Tuesday & Thursday - 2300-0700 Part time schedule: Thursday-Sunday - 0700-1500 Friday-Sunday & Wednesday - 1500-2300 Friday-Sunday & Wednesday - 2300-0700
