DayTime Wed: 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, waiting areas, and other assigned locations to help manage access, provide directions, and support a professional environment for patients and visitors.
- Support hospital or medical center operations by reporting security-related concerns, assisting with visitor and vendor access procedures, and following post orders for assigned areas.
Minimum Requirements
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
