Hospital Security Guard - PT (Weekends)

Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are devoted to providing all members of our community with premier-quality health care in a compassionate and inviting environment. We are seeking a Hospital Security Guard to join our team! This is a part time role. Candidate will work 2 12-hour shifts. This position is for Friday and Saturday. Variable hours may be available.

Responsibilities

• Monitor visitors entering and exiting the building
• Ensure the safety of the hospital's property and personnel
• Know all site-specific policies and procedures
• Implement emergency response activities as appropriate
• Provide superior customer service

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable relevant experience
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Able to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Able to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
