About the Role
A Hospital-Physician is a board-certified or eligible pediatrician responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing inpatient care for patients from birth to 21 years old under the supervision of a sub-specialty attending physician.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient clinical care, assess acute, critical, and chronic conditions, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Supervise clinical staff, ensure high-quality care, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform therapeutic interventions, manage patient response, and facilitate care transitions.
- Serve as an educational resource and mentor for healthcare team members, including students and trainees.
- Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and administrative activities such as policy development and patient flow management.
- Represent the organization externally when requested.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
- Valid medical license and DEA registration in Pennsylvania.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Knowledge of hospital policies, regulations, and electronic medical records.
- Strong communication, judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to perform off-shift duties.
- Maintain competencies and support team development.
