Hospital Police Officer - Bonus Eligible

About the role

This position patrols the Hospital complex, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the Hospital complex to detect and prevent potential fire and safety hazards.
• Remains alert for any signs of danger or emergencies.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of one of the following:
• Possession of current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification OR Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification; and a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
• Possession of current Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification and six months of prior security or law enforcement experience.
• Possession of current Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification and one year of prior security or law enforcement experience.
• Current valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.
• Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a security or law enforcement position in a healthcare setting is preferred.
