About the Role

This position involves collecting and processing biological specimens across various healthcare settings, ensuring accurate patient and specimen identification, and managing specimen flow for testing and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection, entry, verification, and initial processing
• Maintain specimen integrity and quality
• Assist in workflow monitoring and training
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Participate in quality assurance and cost-saving initiatives
• Communicate professionally with team and patients
• Uphold patient privacy and rights

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a phlebotomy program
• State-certified phlebotomy certification
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours and locations
• Adaptable to rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• May require a driver’s license, fingerprinting certification, and travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Additional relevant experience
