Hospital Phlebotomy Tech I - Banner Thunderbird (Day Shift)

Core Functions

• specimen collection
• general laboratory specimen processing
• referral laboratory processing

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement of 18
• High School diploma or equivalent (dependent on state regulatory requirements)
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations
• Valid state driver's license in the state of employment
• Eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy
• Flexible to work multiple locations and mobile phlebotomy facilities/in-office phlebotomy locations with minimal notice
• Available based on staffing requirements, weekends, holidays, and overtime
• May be required to work occasional on-call duties

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred

Skills

• Basic knowledge of billing
• Commitment to error free work environment
• Communicates courteously and professionally with internal and external customers
• Interacts with co-workers with an emphasis on teamwork and a focus on customer service

Benefits

• New Grads: $19 per hour
• Experienced (3yrs - 11+ yrs): $21.07 - $23.36, depending on experience

Pay

• $19 per hour for new grads
• $21.07 - $23.36 per hour for experienced candidates, depending on experience

Schedule

• 4am - 1230pm
• 40 hours per week
• Days during the week vary
• Rotating every other weekend and holiday
