About the role
The Hospital Operations Manager at GoodVets is responsible for leading all daily hospital operations, ensuring compliance with operating standards, creating and maintaining accurate work schedules, hiring, training, and onboarding new team members, preparing monthly reports, conducting performance reviews, monitoring inventory, managing ordering, and supporting doctors, staff, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead all daily hospital operations
- Create and maintain accurate work schedules
- Hire, train, and onboard new team members
- Prepare monthly reports on hospital performance, staffing needs, margins, and trends
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for growth
- Maintain inventory, manage ordering, and maintain cost control
- Support doctors, staff, and clients with clarity, speed, and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Hospital Operations Manager, Medical Office Manager or similar role
- Three plus years in veterinary medicine with progressive responsibilities, technician background
- Powerful leadership skills and an empathetic approach to management
- Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce standard operating procedures and hospital protocols
- Strong veterinary technician skillset
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, proactively manage and resolve conflict
- Passion to make a difference in pets and people’s lives
Qualifications
- Advanced skills in Practice Management Systems and MS Excel
- Basic accounting skills
- Communicate clearly and effectively with hospital and corporate teams
