MLK Architecture provided campus master plan services to envision a state-of-the-art healthcare environment designed to serve the evolving needs of patients, caregivers, and the broader community. The plan integrates inpatient care, outpatient services, emergency access, research, and wellness facilities into a cohesive and sustainable campus.

Responsibilities

• Develop a campus master plan anchored by a modern central hospital
• Design flexible expansion zones for specialty care centers, medical office buildings, and advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities
• Incorporate patient and family experience elements such as welcoming entrances, clear wayfinding, healing gardens, and pedestrian-friendly paths
• Create infrastructure and circulation strategies with separate flows for patients, staff, visitors, and emergency vehicles
• Strategically locate parking and transit hubs to support convenience and reduce congestion
• Integrate sustainability features including green spaces, energy-efficient systems, and resilient infrastructure
• Ensure the plan adapts to future healthcare technologies and community demands
