About the role

VCA Old River Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Hospital Manager to lead, grow, and develop a team while providing an atmosphere of mutual respect. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with both people and animals and will be able to set a positive tone for the hospital.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A strong background in veterinary medicine
• Experience managing a veterinary hospital team
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for animal welfare and client service

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a veterinary management role
• A degree in veterinary medicine or related field
• Valid California Veterinary Practice License
• Experience with hospital operations and management
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
