Hospital Liaison

About the role

The Liaison will interact daily with hospital case managers at each assigned facility to deliver and set up O2 portability, nebulizers, and small DME items for patient discharge. The role includes providing education on insurance criteria, documentation requirements, equipment, and available programs to benefit patients and facilitate discharge.

Responsibilities

• Stock vehicle daily with necessary equipment, disposables, patient setup paperwork, and marketing literature.
• Make rounds to contact all case managers each day at assigned facilities to notify them of your presence for patient discharge equipment needs.
• Communicate with the center throughout the day regarding O2 discharges to schedule a Service Representative (SR) for home equipment setup.
• Understand and communicate coverage criteria to case managers and patients as applicable.
• Complete setup paperwork daily for all delivered equipment.
• Assist with obtaining CMNs (Certificate of Medical Necessity) and chart notes as requested by the center for billing purposes.
