Position Summary
The Hospital Laboratory Manager administers policies, manages personnel and daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the area of responsibility.
In This Role, You Will
- Maintain adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing
- Assure adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored
- Monitor current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, Federal Regulations, and AABB)
- Develop, plan and audit departmental goals and budget
- Monitor and serve as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students, and Departmental/Hospital committees
Minimum Requirements
- BS Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science. A four-year degree is required for Managers of non-testing areas
- Five (5) years of current/related clinical laboratory experience is required
- ECUH Community Hospitals: Generalist experience to include Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience in the laboratory or clinical setting is required
- Licensure/Certification: MLS/MT; HT/HTL (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification is required
Pay
$87,817.60 - $128,002.16 (Annually)
Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
