Hospital Housekeeper

Job Summary:

This role is essential in the hospital industry. You will perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and other staff members. You will sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, horizontal surfaces, bathrooms, unit common areas, utility rooms, and patient’s rooms. Cleaning tasks are of both a maintenance and restorative nature, depending on needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with Infection Control policies using proper tools, body mechanics, and lifting techniques.
• Sanitize assigned areas as per requirements.
• Show respect for personal dignity and values while performing duties.
• Pursue opportunities for improvement, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in assignments, and understand that assigned areas may change based on hospital needs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
