About the role
Hospital Housekeeper at HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across clinical and non‑clinical areas, supporting a 320+ bed Level II Trauma Center that serves Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties. Founded in 1975, the hospital has been serving the community for 50 years and is recognized as the #1 Trauma Center in the Lowcountry, featuring an award‑winning Heart Center, the South Carolina Institute for Robotic Surgery, comprehensive breast health services through the Trident Breast Care Center, the Joseph M. Still Burn Clinic (the region’s only outpatient burn clinic for patients of all ages), 24/7 Hospitalist and Intensivist coverage, and Healthgrades Five‑Star ratings for cardiovascular care, neurosciences, critical care, and patient safety outcomes. The health system also operates four freestanding emergency rooms (Brighton Park Emergency, Centre Pointe Emergency, James Island Emergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center) with a Long Point Free Standing ED coming soon, providing 24/7 emergency access across the greater Charleston region.
Responsibilities
- Clean clinical and non‑clinical areas of the facility in accordance with departmental and hospital policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation policies.
- Adhere to storage, handling and disposal of RMW, Hazmat, solid waste and linen.
- Maintain and adhere to Environmental Service uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
- Report all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred
- 1+ years of experience in housekeeping or service‑related field preferred
