LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is a 204‑bed acute care facility in Low Moor, Virginia, serving patients in both Virginia and West Virginia. The hospital offers a full range of medical specialties from emergency medicine to general surgery, includes a Senior Transitions program, and is part of the LewisGale Regional Health System, an integrated network consistently ranked among the top in the nation for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and other staff members.
• Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings, stairways, elevators, entrances/exits, horizontal surfaces, bathrooms, unit common areas, utility rooms, and patient rooms.
• Perform cleaning tasks that are both maintenance and restorative, depending on needs.
• Perform all cleaning tasks in accordance with Infection Control policies using proper tools, body mechanics, and lifting techniques.
• Perform cleaning duties with consideration of patients, and their family and friends; showing respect for personal dignity and values.
• Pursue opportunities for improvement, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in assignments.
• Understand that assigned areas are subject to change depending upon the needs of the hospital as determined by Environmental Services Leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• At least 1 year Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience (preferred)

Pay

Hourly wage estimate: $14.03 - $18.94 per hour.
