About the role

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Hospital Cook to join our dedicated team. The position offers a competitive salary range of $20.00 - $26.93 per hour, based on experience, plus a shift differential. The schedule includes full-time weekday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for patients, staff, and guests.
• Absent from Manager, supervise dietary staff and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper sanitation, safety, and infection control policies are followed.
• Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
• Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
• Take initiative to identify and solve problems.

Requirements

• One (1) year of cooking experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Completion of a state or local food safety training course preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
