About the role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall management of the operations and resources of the hospital and related business enterprises to achieve the Corporation's mission by providing the highest quality services. The CEO acts as the authorized representative of the Corporation and Governing Body in all matters unless otherwise delegated by the Board. The CEO is responsible for the implementation of all corporate goals and business objectives. The Hospital CEO will report to the Division President and is responsible for carrying out the mission of the Corporation interpreted by the Board of Directors in its policies and plans. This is an exempt position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative oversight for assigned facility; assist managers with managing human, operational and financial resources.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive outpatient care and ambulatory programs.
  • Willingly accept special projects as assigned; work within time and financial constraints; present data and outcomes professionally and in a timely manner; serve on committees assigned.
  • Engage with providers and establish a visible leadership role in community organizations to grow public awareness and referral development in market areas.
  • Participate in the preparation of the operating and capital facility budgets; monitor compliance of all departments with the operating budget; assist in the procurement of capital equipment when approved.
  • Provide input and assist Corporate with development of strategic goals and plans for market area.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with assigned strategic goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or an appropriately related field, preferred.
  • Experience: Five (5) years' experience in hospital leadership or equivalent in the healthcare industry. Proven experience in corporate planning, development, management, board development, and multi-hospital operations. Rehabilitation or Long-Term Acute Care experience, as applicable, is required.
