About the role

Responsible for admitting inpatients, outpatients, special clinics, radiology, lab, and emergency room patients. Answers incoming calls and patient account questions. Updates patient census, filing, and directing patient flow. Batches charges, the activities of Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Room registration, cashiering, billing, and credit and collections.

Responsibilities

• Hospital patient registration
• Insurance verification
• Operate a multi-line switchboard
• Admit inpatients, outpatients, special clinics, radiology, lab, and emergency room patients
• Answer incoming calls and patient account questions
• Update patient census and direct patient flow
• Batch charges for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Room registration
• Handle cashiering, billing, and credit and collections activities

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Previous experience preferred but not required

Schedule

Full-time, Monday – Friday with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday shift coverage.
